Year R Term 5

Term 5 has been short but we have managed to cram an incredible amount of learning into it! Through our Power of Reading text 'Errol's garden', we have found out about plants and how they grow and change. We also thought about how we have changed and grown over time, sharing our own baby photos, and we nurtured some tiny caterpillars, and were mesmerised as they changed into caterpillars, then chyrsalises, and then emerged as beautiful butterflies! We immersed ourselves in learning about Planet Earth through a whole school art installation for Earth Day, and also celebrated David Attenborough's 100th birthday. We learned how to control a balance bike in our 'Balance bikeability' sessions, went on a local walk to King George's park to see how the environment had changed since we last visited, and our fantastic Sports Day in the last week of term was so much fun!
